Daily menus, student meal choices and kitchen counts

The cafeteria publishes breakfast, lunch and dinner menus with photos. Students pick their meals for the day, and the kitchen sees exactly how many of each dish to prepare.

Cafeteria

What it does

Menus with photos

Each menu has a date and a meal type. Items have a name, a veg/non-veg tag and an image.

Student choices

Students pick one or more items per meal, for today.

Locked once saved

A saved day is locked, so the counts the kitchen sees don't change.

Meal statistics

Pick a date and see a count per dish, sorted by count and filtered by meal.

Who chose what

Click a dish to see the students who chose it.

Rules SIMS takes care of

These are built in, so staff don't have to remember them.

  • Students can only choose meals for today, and only once per day.
  • Admins can bypass both rules to fix a mistake.
