About SIMS
Built for the way schools actually work
SIMS brings admissions, academics and daily operations into one system that follows the school's own rules.
Our story
From a configurable platform to a dedicated product
SIMS started on a general-purpose, form-driven platform. It worked, but school-specific needs kept running into the platform's limits. DepEd report card formats, MAPEH grading, admissions offers, and rules like "attendance is for today only" were all hard to add.
So we rebuilt SIMS as a dedicated application. Each module has its own data model, the rules are written in code, and permissions are checked on the server. Every rule in the old system was documented and kept, or deliberately improved.
The result is software that handles the details, so teachers can teach and the office can focus on families.
Principles
What guides every feature
One record per learner
An applicant's profile becomes the student's profile. Nothing is copied or retyped, and documents stay attached.
School rules in the software
Grade ranges, MAPEH, report card formats and attendance rules are built in, so staff don't have to remember them.
The right view for each person
Admins, teachers, students and families each see a focused set of tools, not one crowded screen.
Configurable without code
Grade levels, sections, courses, terms, roles and permissions are all managed from screens.
