GarageOS started in a garage in Odhav, Ahmedabad. Alpesh Matholiya was running Aarvee Automobiles — a busy multi-mechanic workshop — and couldn't find software that actually worked for how Indian garages operate.
Everything was on WhatsApp. Job cards were handwritten. Estimates got disputed. Payment tracking was a mess. Good mechanics were hard to hold accountable without micromanaging them.
