These Terms of Service govern your use of the Simbahan platform, including the mobile app and web dashboard. Please read them carefully before using Simbahan.
Acceptance of Terms
By downloading the Simbahan app or accessing the Simbahan web dashboard, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
Parish Administrator Responsibilities
Parish administrators who register a parish on Simbahan are responsible for ensuring that all content published through their parish account is accurate, appropriate, and consistent with Catholic teaching. Administrators must not publish false information, spam, or content that violates the dignity of any person.
Member Conduct
Members of a parish on Simbahan must use the platform respectfully. Harassment, spam, or inappropriate content submitted through any feature (including prayer requests, donation logs, or sacrament requests) is prohibited and may result in account suspension.
Acceptable Use
Simbahan may only be used for legitimate parish community purposes. You may not use the platform to send unsolicited messages, collect data about other users without consent, impersonate a parish or church official, or engage in any activity that violates Philippine law.
GCash Donation Disclaimer
Donation records in Simbahan are self-reported by members. Simbahan does not verify, process, or guarantee any donation transaction. All GCash transactions occur directly between the member and the parish. Simbahan is not responsible for any disputes arising from donation transactions.
Limitation of Liability
Simbahan is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any loss of data, service interruptions, or damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the past 12 months (which, for free users, is zero).
Termination
Simbahan reserves the right to deactivate parish accounts or member accounts that violate these Terms of Service, with or without prior notice. Parish administrators may also deactivate their parish account at any time by contacting hello@simbahan.app.
Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the Philippines.
